Reflection Point

Reflection Point
A space for pause, connection, and playful self-reflection.
Reflection Point is a work that holds a multitude of meanings for us. This project has been a point of contemplation and reflection—on what we’re currently making, how we work as a whole, and the opportunity to present something in our home city.
It represents a moment of pause: a space to consider how we create, the trajectory of our careers, and our relationship to New York. Using color and mirrored surfaces, we have created an environment with spaces within spaces and pathways within pathways—immersive, shifting terrains that invite participation for all. As the shapes rotate, the pathways evolve: some open, some close, and new possibilities are revealed or obscured. Color guides the eye through certain passages, while reflection and refraction conceal others, inviting constant reevaluation of direction and experience.
Reflection Point is a symbolic save point for us—a moment to stop, take a rest, top up our item bags, and gather strength for what’s next. It marks a new chapter, and a moment to breathe before the next journey. The work isn’t complete until people are moving through it, and showing it in NYC gives us time to reflect on our partnership and our connections to the people and place we love.
This project has been a year in the making with @googlelabs and one of its latest AI tools, Whisk—an image generation program we used to develop sketches within our creative process. To adjust our workflow, we used this tool to conceptualize: incorporating language to build prompts for further ideation. Instead of moodboards and reference images, it became a generative tool to push us in new directions. We always knew we wanted to create something that had a use—and participation is a vital part of our creative mission.
The work is brought to life with the support of an extraordinary team:
